great for adding climbing position to brakeless bikes in addition to several road bikes i have several fixed-gear bikes. one of those i’ve built specifically for long distance rides. i rode it from san francisco to los angeles twice, i’ve done centuries and double centuries on it, et cetera. the only problem was that without brakes, i had no hoods on which to comfortably climb. i always found myself in the deep drops to power up grades, which worked just fine, but it was NOT comfortable. needless to say, this product solved the problem perfectly…

Perfect Solution Installed these on my road fixie. I use only one bar end brake lever for a front brake on Origin 8 drops. I really wanted hoods for multiple hand positions but did not need actual brake levers since I only run the one brake. These provided the perfect solution. Installation was simple. The clamps hold firmly for out of saddle climbing. The rubber molded hoods have a great feel and the textured material provides a great gripping surface.
