CURT bike racks offer both versatility and quality and are available in several different styles to fit your needs.The CURT bike rack support strap is a 1″ x 61″ strap designed to help stabilize a hitch-mounted bike rack. One end attaches to the bike rack and the other to the tow vehicle. The strap can then be tightened to the appropriate tension to ensure that the load is properly supported for travel. Though the bike rack support strap is required for any bike rack with a 1 1/4″ shank, it is recommended for all CURT bike racks.

A should-have for transporting bikes with a hitch mounted bike rack So apparently you’re supposed to use one of these with a hitch mounted bike rack. Who knew? I’d been using mine for over a year until I read a review that said I should get one of these.One thing that had always concerned me about that was how much flex there is in the bike rack, especially going over large bumps. Using with Allen Sports Deluxe 5-Bike Hitch Mount Rack I bought two of these to support an Allen Sports Deluxe 5-Bike Hitch Mount Rack. Excellent product and easy to use with the hitch mount rack. The tails conveniently store out of the way. With five bicycles on the hitch rack, these straps take up the weight as additional bikes are mounted adding a great deal of stability and peace of mind for the drive.
