Exerpeutic 400XL Folding Recumbent Bike
The Exerpeutic 400XL recumbent bike is engineered with a 3-piece high-torque crank system that provides a smooth, consistent pedaling motion. A cushioned seat is designed to accommodate a variety of users, and the larger footplate prevents slippage while exercising. The 8-level magnetic tension control allows for custom adjustments.Recumbent exercise bikes have long been terrific workout accessories, but they’re usually somewhat bulky, making them inconvenient for people with small homes or apartments. Enter the Exerpeutic 400XL recumbent bike, which folds up for easy storage and fits inside a closet, corner, or other compact space. It’s the easiest way to enjoy the benefits of a recumbent workout without dedicating an entire room to your exercise equipment.
Despite the space-saving design, the 400XL is plenty powerful, with a precision-balanced flywheel and a quiet V-belt double-drive transmission system. The bike also includes an eight-level magnetic tension control system so you can find the right resistance for your training goals. It’s easy to monitor your workout progress via the easy-to-read LCD display, which tracks your distance, calories burned, time, speed, scan, and heart rate. Best of all for frequent exercisers, the 400XL’s semi-recumbent design is inviting and comfortable, making it ideal for people who dislike upright-style bikes or who are recovering from injury. Add in a large seat cushion and backrest and you have a great bike for riders of any size and body type.
Other details include extendable leg stabilizers; a hand pulse sensor for reading your heart rate; a three-piece, high-torque crank system that provides a smooth, consistent pedaling motion; large pedals with safety straps; and transport wheels for mobility.

One heck of a quiet workout! As an apartment dweller I was so pleased to find this (thanks Sky Mall magazine for the idea, but bigger thanks to Amazon for having it at a great price with super saver shipping too). To be honest I was skeptical as to how sturdy this product would be and as to how much of a workout it would give. I have not been disappointed at all and in fact more pleased than I thought I’d be.It was easy to assemble, but must say that the instruction manual gives WAY too many diagrams of…
I’ve owned this bike for about 2 years I’ve owned this bike for about 2 years and it’s still works great. i think my only complaint is that it’s designed in a way that you are not meant to pedal backwards. (Why would anyone pedal backwards you ask? Well my brother is a Physical Therapist and pedaling backwards is good for exercising the other muscles that get ignored.)But overall I think its a great machine that doesn’t take up too much space. I actually have stationed between my couch and a window in my living room…
Good bike for a great value I just received and assembled my Exerpeutic 400XL folding recumbent bike, and I am impressed. The build quality is at or even a bit above what I was expecting for a $149 piece of exercise equipment. The only thing that makes it look a bit cheap, in my opinion, is the way the wires are routed outside of the bike, however, it does make sense for easy access to the various connectors. My bike arrived undamaged, but the plastic cover surrounding the flywheel was misaligned at the bottom on the…
