Safety issue (rubber grips deteriorate over time, allowing bike to fall) I bought this rack almost two years ago (Feb 2016). Apparently a good idea, but not really. Please read… The rubber thingies that hold the bike are very flimsy, and are almost sure to eventually fail if you install it as shown in the picture, with one arm higher than the other. When you do that, the perpendicular angle of the bike’s horizontal bar pushes/bends the rubber holder to the side. This causes your bike to be resting not on the V shaped opening at the top of the rubber piece, but on the side, which means there is only a small piece of rubber standing between your bike frame, and a very…
