True hybrid tires I bought these for my 97 Trek 800 that I turned into a 7 speed hybrid (I removed the front derailleur and replaced the 3 chainring crankset with a single 48t)These tires replaced a set of Continental Double Fighter 2’s and I have to say, the Kenda Krosses are much better. Fits the bill! The wife was complaining that my bike was faster than hers. She has a Giant Iguana with RockShox forks and some fairly aggressive knobbies. I had Kenda XC’s on mine. Obviously I’m going to have less rolling resistance with the much smaller knobs. I ordered these as she does most of her riding on paved or hard pack. She advises an immediate improvement.
