If you’re not sure what width your current chain is, use a ruler to measure the space between the interior sets of plates on your chain. The common chain widths are 1/8 or 3/32 inches. Generally, purpose-built single-speed/fixed gear bikes use 1/8 chains, whereas single-speed bikes converted from geared/derailleur bikes use 3/32 chain.
