In reality it is a light grey colored metal hanger with non-slip black rubber covering most of the two prongs (see picture).There is 2.5″ of distance between the inside of the two prongs. It comes with two 2″ long self-tapping wood screws meant to be mounted into a wall stud. I would not mount this to something without sufficient support especially not directly into sheetrock only using drywall…
