Because it goes into a class three hitch I have found it very easy to carry two mountain bikes for the price it is sturdy enough for my short 10-20 mile trips.I purchased a pair of straps that I use to secure both wheels to the bottom of the carrier and that seems to secure the bikes nicely no chance of them bouncing off.
