Use of these calipers with standard SLR enabled STI and brake levers results in a “mushy” brake response

Not so great. I used these to upgrade the stock Tektro brakes that came with my bike. They ARE better, but compared even to Shimano BR-5800s, these are far inferior. The brake pads belong in the trash. The center adjustment screw is really tough to turn and I’m concerned that it will eventually strip out. The front caliper mounting bolt wasn’t long enough for my fork… that’s not a big deal for me since I had the one from the stock brakes, but it might be a problem for some people.Knowing…
