Very secure basket! It’s the best! Great basket. I carry my 9 lb dog in it. He has a harness on and clipped onto the basket so he cannot jump out. He’s very comfortable because we put padding on the side of basket ( with wire ties) so he can rest his head or paws on it. Plus, a couple of layers of towels on the bottom. We use it for groceries too. The basket pops off easily so it doesn’t always have to be on the bike. To do this just swing handle to other side and wiggle off.
