WTB Slick 2.2 Comp Tire

Great for the bike path or urban commuting. I put these on my Trek Excalibur. They make the ride smoother and quieter. Get these tires for a MTB if you ride on the pavement! For anyone who rides a mountain bike but mainly rides said bike on paved surfaces, you need to get these tires. The slicks are so much faster than the knobby tires on the mountain bikes. It was apparent on the first ride after I installed these tires that they made a big difference. In areas where I struggled to maintain 11mph I am know at 13.5 – 14mph. Overall on my usual 20 mile ride, where I used to average just shy of 12mph, I now average over 15mph!
