Standard quick release (QR) skewers are shorter than this, and my mountain bike’s was one of them. When I attached my Burley trailer, it worked great with the standard skewer. But then I also needed to add a kickstand to the rear wheel, and doing so would not allow me to keep both the UpStand kickstand and the trailer – I had to choose between either one at a time.Following a suggestion on a mountain biking forum, I gave the Tandem model skewer a try, and now I can keep both the…
