I had to replace a flat several weeks ago, so I used this tube. Since then, I have placed maybe 350-400 miles on it, and so far I have had no problems. I put my road bike under some abuse (potholes, broken glass, rocks, etc.) and so far, so good. Note that I check my tire pressure before EVERY ride and make sure it’s 95-105 PSI. What can I say…it is a tube and holds air. I did have 1 out of the 5 tubes I had here that already had a pinhole near the valve stem, but I can’t really do anything about it since there isn’t free return shipping. Plus, I doubt continental will do anything since there are a lot of stupid people that undoubtedly puncture their tubes while installing. I wonder if that isn’t what happened….as in maybe someone had a couple that they damaged and returned….oh well, I’ll just buy them locally…
Good tubes. High quality and a good value for the price. The stem is high quality and doesn’t bend easily like other brands. This is important to me if i need to fix a flat on a ride with a little hand pump. After reading some of the lower ratings for this product, I think there are a lot of people out there who do not know how to properly install a tube on a road tire or understand the importance of inflating to an appropriate pressure.
