Fantastic bag, I travelled with it and did not … Fantastic bag, I travelled with it and did not need to take apart my bike. I recommend adding some towels around your rear derailleur to protect it, and you can always use the towels in your tri race.Just be prepared for TSA to inspect this bag — it does not fit in their regular bag scanning machine, so they open all of them and inspect by hand. So I recommend not using the lock, they might break it anyway, and not storing anything else of value in the bag. Also get to the airport…
Good bike bag, lack of protection of rear jockey wheels a little disconcerting. I finally took my bike out with this bag. I have a Kestrel Talon 52cm frame.It is very easy to pack. It took my about 20 minutes, because it was my first time, but I’m pretty sure I could get my bike packed in 10 once I get comfortable. You do NOT have to remove your rear derailleur, which makes it super easy, and it comes with a derailleur guard. The jockey wheels, however, are extremely close to the edge of the bag, and I’m worried that any hard impact may damage them, but after a…
