White Lightning Clean Ride – Chain Lube – Squeeze Bottle
The Legendary Self-Cleaning Lubricant. You’ve known and loved White Lightning for its “Original Self-Cleaning Lube” – but boy, what a long name… and we know we all use it because it stays clean – so we’ve renamed it, but no worries, no changes have been made to the formula – it’s the same lube but now with a new name that says it all, in just two words; Clean Ride..! Clean Ride is Cycling’s Only Self-Cleaning Lubricant. Clean Ride literally sheds dirt & grime while you ride, keeping your bike running smoothly. Clean Ride sets up as a dry wax film. There is no oily film to attract abrasive contaminants, so your chain and gears will perform better and last 2 to 3 times longer. Clean Ride’s self-cleaning action is activated by any dirt, grit or grime that finds it’s way onto your chain or parts. Small particles of the outer wax structure will flake off, taking the dirt, grime or grit with it. This begins the cycle of ‘self-cleaning’. Clean Ride is a unique, wax-based lubricant, so it is important to start with a clean chain. For optimum ‘self-cleaning’ performance, do not mix Clean Ride with oil based lubricants. The dirtier the ride, the more active the shedding action. So to this extent, Clean Ride will require more frequent re-application after dirtier rides. When Clean Ride is used regularly and properly, you’ll rarely have to clean your chain again. So, while your buddies are cleaning their chains, you’ll be applying a fresh shot of Clean Ride and heading out for yet another great ride!

I love Clean Ride I love Clean Ride! You do have to apply it more often than oil-based chain lubes, but it is SO much cleaner that it is really no chore at all. I apply it to the lower run of chain right behind the chain ring – just slowly spin the crank and squeeze the bottle. It is pretty thin, so it penetrates into the rollers on the chain easily. The thin Clean Ride washes out any old lube and road grime pretty well. I let it “set up” or dry for at least a few hours, then wipe the excess off…
Still the Best Back when I was a young’n riding BMX bikes on dirt trails white lightning was all the rage. It’s the bee’s knees. I originally bought this stuff because the bike shop that built my girlfriend’s bike didnt bother to lube the chain. It was starting to sound kind of awful so I rushed to find some bike lube. Luckily I got this product; wow holy crap what a difference this stuff makes. It was like day and night in terms of how much easier it was to switch gears. Her bike does not have too many gears its just a simple 7 gear beach cruiser hybrid so moving between was no sweat after following the video on this…
