Washington post said it was made in Russia I bought this bike for my daughter 5 years ago when she was 4 and she still rides it every day. She uses the bike in the neighborhood and at the BMX track. Great all around and entry level BMX bike. Who cares if it has a coaster brake young kids need to be able to stop… You can take the cb out anyway. Now at 9 she is ready for a more competitive BMX bike . If you have a child learning to ride start them on this (even if they need training wheels). They will ride it till 10 years old or more…
