Works, sort of. (Update: mostly works!) I have both the speed and cadence sensor.The cadence sensor is pretty terrible. Going at a steady pace on flat terrain without switching gears, it randomly jumps around between 60-90 RPM. Sometimes, it cuts out for a few seconds.From the looks of it the speed sensor is almost identical hardware wise, but it actually works quite a bit more reliably for me. Distance at the end of a ride is consistently within a few percent of what Google Maps claims.UPDATE…
Perfect for Peloton! With Peloton classes (or any spin classes for that matter) the only two variables are speed and resistance. Resistance is pretty easy to estimate — go from zero resistance to the point that you can’t move the pedals, and 50% will be somewhere in the middle. I can tell the approximate resistance just by the position of the knob.
