I converted my touring/road bike to 1×10, with a 46 tooth chainring and 10 speed 11-36 cassette.As previous reviewers noted, a short range rear derailleur (in my case, a SRAM Red) has the range – but not the clearance – to cover an 11-36 cassette. Installation of the Wolf Tooth Roadlink was as simple as undoing the chain from the chainring to release tension, unbolting the rear derailleur from the frame, bolting up the RoadLink and then bolting the derailleur to the RoadLink.
