If you are looking for a smaller bag that holds a helmet this is one to look at. I was looking to upgrade my mountain bike pack with one that was a bit bigger than the Camelbak and had wider shoulder straps. On my previous pack, I had an external mesh to hold my helmet. Awesome little pack, especially for price This is a great assault/day pack. I have mine set up as a day pack for hikes through the mountains. It’s small enough to not be cumbersome, but carries plenty of essential survival and first aid gear, while still leaving room for a sweatshirt/jacket and water bottle.
